When I turned 68 in October 2016 I had lost 50 pounds and realized I needed to do something to maintain and improve my physical condition or risk injury or worse long term disability.  The most exercise I had done over the last several decades consisted of walking on a treadmill occasionally and then I met Morgan Torres.  I had never worked with a personal trainer and frankly would be embarrassed in a setting with other people.  I also needed to schedule dates and times to assure my attendance and to include exercise in my routine.

Morgan set up a schedule three times a week with a variety of programs including Pilates, Yoga, TRX and weights.  This variety gave me the opportunity to try different programs.  She provided the encouragement and made it fun to come and participate in exercising.  Having set appointments each week is critical to developing the habit going forward.  I worked with Morgan for six months before returning home to Minnesota and have continued with Yoga three times a week.  When I return to Maui in June for several weeks and again in the fall I will continue training with Morgan and benefiting from her expertise.   I love working with Morgan.  She makes it fun.

I’ve been doing private sessions with Morgan for over 2 years. I’m a senior citizen by age (but not heart). I really wanted to gain some flexibility and strength, and be proactive about the aches and pains that go along with age. We do 2 sessions/ week – one day we do Pilates, then we vary it a bit for my other day – TRX or Circuit Training. Morgan is a great trainer and a wonderful person.  She pushes me just enough, but she will also ease up if my body isn’t cooperating.

I have been attending Morgan’s outdoor TRX Circuit training.  Morgan has been a great trainer in a group setting.  I am older than most of the other participates, and sometimes get nervous attempting some of the circuit exercises.  Morgan is alway watching; making sure I am performing the exercise correctly and is already ready to offer an alternative move if the task is too hard.
